The Lord in His mercy called home Irene at The St. Catharines General Hospital on Friday, August 12th, 2011 in her 87th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Gerard on July 29th, 2011 after 34 years of marriage. Caring step-mother to John, Cora and Casey VandenBogert , Gary and Linda, and Ron. Proud Oma of Brandon, Jordan, Tyler, Katelyn, Jennifer, Jessica and Rebekah. Predeceased by two sisters and one brother in the Netherlands. Will be lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews also in the Netherlands. Irene was a devoted member of Maranatha Christian Reformed Church.
The family will receive visitors at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, (905-684-6346), 75 Church St. on Sunday, August 14th, from 2-4 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 301 Scott St. on Monday August 15th at 11:00 am. A Private family interment will take place prior to the service.
