I've known Roy ever since I was born. A long time dedicated employee of Bell, he retired at 55 and earnestly worked on his golf career. He would always ask me when I was going to retire everytime I stopped by for a beer. He regaled any visitor with many stories about golf, cars and the "good ole days". Summers were spent golfing, washing his cars, cleaning the pool and puttering around the house - he could fix anything! He had a special love for his leaf blower to ensure the leaves wouldn't clog the filter of the pool. Marie and Roy often could be found having dinner at the Oban Inn and enjoying the musical offerings of the pianist. They enjoyed watching the old musicals and movies together. And they love to dance! In winter they would journey down to Florida to golf and enjoy the warmer climes and visit with their daughter Kelley, granddaughter Kate and great-grandaughter Emma. His eyes would brighten everytime he heard Emma's name, even on the day he passed.
We will miss Roy's stories and friendship but are blessed to have had the opportunity to know him and call him our friend. We will cherish our memories and share them with all who want to listen!
Our condolences to all. May your memories fill your mind and heart and bring a smile to your face
Love Suzanne and Dave
