Sandra Hannahson Carr

A woman of unfailing faith and boundless energy, she never stopped fighting during her 15 month battle. She did not lose; she was called home from Auburn Hills, MI on January 30, 2015 at the age of 51.

A bright light, she impacted the lives of everyone she came in contact with, but none more than her family, who were always her priority. Loving wife of Rick for 30 years; beloved mother of Karina Carr and Melissa (James) Calone; cherished grandmother of Bella and Ryan; daughter of Fran and the late Bob Hannahson; sister of Cheryl (Bill) Nicol, Kevin (Michelle) Hannahson and Chris (Paul) Hollingham; sister-in-law of Linda (Dave) Plant and Trish Aubertin; Aunt Sandy to Tyler, Carson, Dylan, Blake, Zachary, Hannah, Shawn, Andrew and Jeff.

Never content to sit still and always determined to better herself, she proudly earned her MBA in 2003. She combined her knowledge, experience, faith and unmatched personality, and made the world a better place for her having been in it. She will be deeply missed.

Memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 2 – 5 p.m. at Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church St. (905-684-6346). The Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at the funeral home. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff and volunteers at the Karmanos Cancer Institute and Angela Hospice for their exceptional care and support.
