She was the beloved wife of the late John Sevcik (2001), with whom she shared more than 48 years of marriage.
Susan was a proud and devoted mother to Christine Sutton (Wayne) and the late Daniel (Brenda). She was a deeply loved grandmother to Sonja (Steve), Norman (Karen), Breanne, Kaitlyn (Jeff), and Scott (Danielle), and a cherished great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Kristina, Ava, Everly, Lillian, Mason, Lyndin, and Rebecca. She is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Susan grew up in Fort Erie alongside her brother and later worked as a bank teller at CIBC. She was a simple and kind woman who found joy in preparing meals for her family and playing cards with her close friends. A cancer survivor, Susan was later diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, which she faced with quiet strength.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Anchor Point, Hauser’s Support, Sandra’s Home Health, and St. Catharines Hospital for the compassionate care that always kept a smile on Susan’s face.
In keeping with Susan’s wishes, a private service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
