In his 91st year, he will be terribly missed by his son Terry and his wife Cathy, granddaughters Emma and Charlotte, grandsons Wilson and Rhonan. Fun loving and favourite uncle to 28 nieces and nephews in Canada, Northern Ireland and England. He is survived by his loving sisters and brothers-in-law in Canada and Northern Ireland. Predeceased by his wife Patricia, sister Doreen, brother Bertie, and parents Billy and Lizzie, all of Northern Ireland, and his good friend Mr. Hills from across the road. Wilson will also be missed by those he befriended and who knew him through his work as a Pharmaceutical Rep, member of Knox Presbyterian Church in St.Catharines, or one of the several Tim Horton’s he at one time would frequent in St.Catharines.
My Dad was a gentleman and care giver to my mother who lived with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis for over 35 years. He was well known among the medical community in the Niagara Peninsula as the big Irishman and was always ready with a yarn or two to brighten the day of anyone he happened to run into.
Special thanks to anyone who cared for my father over the last 19 months in St.Catharines and Toronto, and to his good neighbor Valerie who looked out for my Dad this last while when he was home, where he most wanted to be.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Tuesday September 17th, 12:00pm -1:30pm with a Funeral Service being held in the chapel at 1:30pm at Hulse & English Funeral Home 75 Church Street, St.Catharines (905-684-6346) . Final resting place St Patrick’s Drumbeg Parish Church, County Down, Northern Ireland. Donations in memory of Wilson can be made to the MS Society of Canada, or any charity of your choice that supports children. Online tributes may be made at www.hulseandenglish.com
