Verna Eileen Sinclair Byers

December 19, 1924 - February 7th, 2015

Verna passed away peacefully at Lookout Ridge in Fonthill, on Saturday, February 7th, 2015.

Loving wife of Andrew (predeceased 2010) and loving mother of Robert (Jane), Doug (Una), and Brenda (Ben) Francois. Grandmother of Jay (Corrina), Amy, Sara, Katie and Andrew, Martin and the late Corey Byers. Also three great grandchildren Mitchel, Brooke (Francois) and Lucas (Byers). In Andy’s retirement years, he and Verna enjoyed many trailering trips through Canada and the U.S., plus many other travels. Her favorite pass time was gardening, knitting and always a book in hand. She loved to cook some wonderful meals for family gatherings. Verna has one surviving sister, Margaret Mannellof St. Catharines, predeceased by her brothers Burt, Nelson, Clifford, and Harvey. Her family, especially her daughter would like to thank all the staff at Lookout Ridge for all their love, caring and support for the last 6 years. Especially to the Care Centre staff, you are like family.

A private family service will be held at a later date. If so desired, donation made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of your choice in Verna’s memory would be appreciated by her family.
