

Col. Alden G. Hacker, U.S.A. Ret. 99, of Warson Woods, MO on Wednesday December 27, 2017. Beloved husband of Eileen Hacker (nee Smith); Loving father of Deborah (James) Serra; dear grandfather of Jennifer (John) Guidry; great grandfather of Samantha Guidry; sister- in-law Marilyn (Don) Otto, and uncle of Regan (Nancy) Roemer, Terri (Dennis) Parker and Katie and Candace Parker; dear cousin of John and Janet Kling.
Alden was a graduate of Missouri University of Science and Technology and entered World War II after graduation. He helped build the Alcan Highway and then served in the Pacific arena of combat. He joined the Active Reserves of the US Army and served 32 years attaining the rank of Colonel. He was employed by McQuay-Norris Manufacturing Company where he became Vice President and was a Member of the Board of Directors.
Alden was a founding member of the Order of Golden Shillelagh at SS&T and was a member of Theta Tau, Tau Beta Phi, Phi Kappa, and Blue Key fraternities. He was a 50+ year member of Webster Groves Presbyterian Church where he served as a Trustee, Deacon and Elder. He was a Docent at the Missouri History Museum over thirty years. Col. Hacker was a member of the Military Order of World Wars, the Military Officers Association, Sojourners,the Masonic Lodge –Warren Lodge 15 of Connersville, IN and a 33 degree member of the St. Louis Scottish Rite, the Scottish St. Andrew Society and was an active volunteer for many causes.
Memorial service Friday January 5, 2018 10:00 A.M. with Rose Croix services at 9:30 A.M. Webster Groves Presbyterian Church 45 Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves, MO. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. A service of Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary
