Alzeana Williams

Alzeana Williams, beloved mother, partner, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born on September 26, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Reverend John Williams and Flora Belle Johnson.

Alzeana was a joyful, loving, and social person who loved to laugh and have fun. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and cherished every opportunity to gather with the people she loved. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and family gatherings were especially meaningful to her. She also enjoyed traveling, even though she did not get to travel as much as she would have liked.

She had a wonderful appreciation for British comedy and could always find a reason to laugh. Gospel music brought her joy and was an important part of her life.

Above all else, Alzeana loved her son, Maurice. He was her entire world, and the love and pride she had for him were evident to everyone who knew her. She was also blessed to share 43 years of love and companionship with her partner, James Harris.

Alzeana was a graduate of Central High School. She later attended Forest Park Community College and pursued her education while building a successful career in hospitality. She worked as a housekeeper with the Radisson Hotels and, through her dedication and hard work, advanced into management. She took pride in her work and in the relationships, she built throughout her career.

Alzeana leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She is survived by her beloved partner of 43 years, James Harris; her son, Maurice Harris (Molly); and her loving siblings, Dolores Brooks (Michael), Emily Onwumere, and Flora Smith (Clannie). She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Reverend John Williams and Flora Belle Johnson; her siblings, Samuel Williams, James Williams, Barry Lee Williams, Beatrice Williams, Alvin Williams, and John Williams Jr.; and her nephews, John Williams III and Jason Eric Williams.

Alzeana will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her love of family, her outgoing spirit, and her ability to bring joy and fun wherever she went. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

May she rest peacefully, surrounded forever by the love she so freely gave to others.

Visitation will be held at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street, St. Louis, MO 63109, US, on September 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on September 10, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Committal will take place at Lakewood Park Cemetery, 7330 MacKenzie Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123, on September 10, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
