Audrey J. Lopez

Audrey J. Lopez entered the arms of Christ on October 11, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born on January 25, 1933, to Louis Lopez and Clara Belle Hendron, who instilled in her a strong sense of faith, family, and devotion.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Rita Collier (Ted); brothers Bud Lopez (Pat), Monsignor Jerome J. Buchheit, and Bill Marshall (Evelyn); and her sister Jane Mechlinburg. She is survived by her sister Mary Lopez, her bonus daughter Cecilia Lopez-Schaffner (Jay), her bonus granddaughter Sadie Lopez-Schaffner, her niece Liz Collier-Jeans, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were blessed to know her.

Audrey lived a full and active life. She enjoyed playing bingo, scratch-off tickets, and visiting the slot machines. She loved her trips to Florida with friends and family, and the parties in DeSoto that brought everyone together. Always present and dependable,

Audrey had a way of making her presence known—her tall stature and strong voice were unmistakable. She cared deeply for her loved ones and was always there when someone needed her, never hesitating to remind her sister Mary who was the older one.

Audrey was the matriarch of her family, a source of guidance, love, and strength. She will be remembered for her steadfastness, generosity, and the way she kept her family close.

Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that Audrey is now reunited with her loved ones in Heaven, watching over them with the same loving presence that she shared throughout her life.

May she rest in eternal peace.

A Visitation will be held on October 20, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Holy Infant Church, located at 627 Dennison Dr, Ballwin, MO 63021. Following the Visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the same location, starting at 11:00 am.

The Rite of Committal will occur on October 20, 2025, at 12:15 pm at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 MacKenzie Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123.
