Barbara shared 67 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Adrian J. “AJ” Burmann, who preceded her in death in 2021.
She had a special way of finding beauty and happiness in the world around her. She loved being outside, feeding the birds, fishing, and watching the sun rise and set. She delighted in shopping for new clothes, a hamburger with grilled onions, making up silly words, watching an afternoon Cardinals game, and laughing hard with the people she loved most.
There was nothing Barbara loved more than being with her loved ones. She took great joy in caring for them and everyone around her. She had a special tenderness for children and animals, who always seemed to seek her out. She brought warmth, comfort, and kindness to the everyday moments of those that surrounded her.
She is survived by her children, Doug Burmann, Barb “Bib” Becherer (Tom), and Kathy Wiegand (Bill), dear family member Michelle; her grandchildren, Christine Roesch (Jake), Sarah Palumbo (Mike), Katie Schrik (TJ), Caroline Becherer (Dan Reitman), Kathy Burmann, Thomas Becherer (Sarah), Elizabeth Jordan (Brad), and Anna Wiegand; 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her family and by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. She leaves behind a lifetime of laughter, cherished memories, and a family who will carry her love and spirit always.
