Brad was known for his remarkable intelligence and his seemingly endless collection of “useless” information—though to those who knew him, it was anything but. He had a gift for recalling obscure facts, surprising trivia, and details that could turn any conversation into something memorable. If there was a question, Brad usually had the answer—or at least a fascinating story to go with it. He delivered his knowledge with a dry, understated humor, often leaving people laughing just as much as they were learning. One of his favorite sayings was, “you can’t fix stupid”—and if he said it around you, you just hoped you weren’t the “stupid” one.
An avid reader, Brad spent countless hours immersed in books. A visit to the local library might still reveal his quiet legacy, a single dot on the inside book cover, to help him remember which books he had already read. Through those pages, he built a world of knowledge that stayed with him always.
Brad had a deep love for music, especially rock n’ roll, country, and jazz. His appreciation for sound and story was as wide-ranging as his knowledge. He also had a strong interest in history, particularly the two World Wars, and could speak at length with insight and detail that reflected both his curiosity and passion.
Brad was also deeply compassionate. He had a soft spot for those in need and was known to bring home any stray dog, cat, or even an acquaintance who could use a little help. His generosity and kindness quietly touched more lives than he likely ever realized.
In quieter moments, Brad found comfort and joy in the familiar—he knew every episode of Hogan’s Heroes and MA*S*H and those shows were a steady companion throughout his life.
Above all, Brad will be remembered for his unique mind, his wit, and his big heart—the combination of intelligence, humor, and compassion that made him truly one of a kind. He leaves behind memories filled with conversation, curiosity, laughter, and kindness that will not be forgotten.
He is survived by Brenda/Dave, Becca/Joe, Beverly, and his best buddy Scruffy, and was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda and Bob.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, June 06, 2026, at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary at 6464 Chippewa St, Saint Louis from 11am to 1pm CT. Burial will be at Wesco Cemetery.

Brad will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
