I only knew David for the past four years but have never meant a kinder or gentler soul. He will be greatly missed. I wish he had stayed with us longer as his spirit brightened the lives of those of us lucky enough to know him.

We send our condolences to the Stelzer family and all of David's friends. He will be missed - especially by my mother, who considered DJ the dearest of friends. The last words we wrote to him sum up our feelings: "We love you so much and words can not express the delight of spirit that we obtain from knowing that you are there with and for my mother. Thanks so much and may God bless you." WIth sympathy, The Christianson family

David had been a longtime family friend. He was intelligent, funny, caring, and contributed much kindness to his community. "Coffee Hour" was a regular pastime engagement. He will be in our hearts. The song, "My Sweet Lord," by George Harrison (that Dave liked a lot) has always and will always remind me of his gentle nature. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends at this time, Love, Heather M. Grabowski

Dave was a very wonderful friend to my brother, Pat, who passed away in 2011. My daughter and I have continued to stay in contact with Dave, meeting him at Einstein's in Webster a couple of times a year to talk over old times and catch up on each other's lives. I am so sorry to hear this news. He was a very special person. As my older brother, Mike, said, "He was a prince of a guy."

Dear Stelzer family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We have many memories of growing up next to all the Stelzer kids! I had a secret crush on David when we were about 14 but he never noticed me! Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Dave was my Dad's best friend. Joe and I would often see him when we visited St. Louis. We considered him a family friend. Dave always put others first and was a dear, kind soul. He epitomizes the word friend and will be deeply missed. We are so saddened by his sudden passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Stelzer family during this very difficult time.
