

She resided at The Abbey at Westminster Plaza senior living facility for the past 6 years. Eva spent the majority of her life in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Houston in 2017 with her sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Henry Barthel, to be closer to family.
Eva was predeceased by her devoted husband, Steven Nazarik. Eva enjoyed a very close, loving relationship with her five siblings, all of whom lived into their 90’s and even 100’s. She had four sisters, including Fay Gasawski (deceased), Ann Prochko (deceased), Katherine Signorello (deceased) and Julia Barthel (deceased) and one brother Andrew Dahoda (deceased). She is survived by nephew Dennis (Cindy) Prochko, niece Marsha (Dan) Beaubien, nephew Mark Barthel, niece Laura (Martin) Citardi, nephew Mark (Robyn) Ludholz, many great nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law Henry Barthel.
Eva was born in West Frankfort, Illinois as the fifth of six children born to the late Paul and Eva (Chomko) Dahoda. The family moved to Leadwood, Missouri when she was very young. After graduating high school, she moved to St. Louis where she met her future husband, Steven Nazarik. They were married on November 5, 1955. They lived a quiet but happy life and always enjoyed getting together with their family members. Eva was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and rarely missed a televised game.
Eva will be dearly missed but those she leaves behind take great comfort knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband and siblings.
