

Fr. Leo Weber, SJ, died Feb. 3, 2025, in St. Louis. He was 98 years old, a Jesuit for 81 years and a priest for 68 years. He was born April 12, 1926, in Denver and entered the Society of Jesus at St. Stanislaus Seminary in Florissant, Missouri, on Aug. 8, 1943.
After beginning his priestly ministry in the Central American Country of Belize, Fr. Weber was assigned to St. Louis, where he served in a series of positions for the former Missouri Province: provincial assistant for international apostolates and province planning, assistant for formation and provincial (1973-79) and coordinator of the province’s retirement and convalescent care. He then returned to Belize, where he served in a variety of assignments, including president of St. John’s College and pastor St. Peter Claver Parish in Punta Gorda. Fr. Weber returned to St. Louis in 2017 when he entered a ministry of prayer and pastoral service.
Services: Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, Saturday, February 8, 2025 in the Chapel of the Beloved Disciple at St. Louis University High School. A visitation will be held in the same location, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Feb. 10, 2025, in Calvary Cemetery.
