Frank was born on December 27, 1945, in Alton, Illinois, to the late Helen and Raymond Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Betty (nee Harrison) Nobbe; and his brother‑in‑law, Harvey Nobbe.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Linda Sue (nee Ussery) Harrison. Frank and Linda were married on March 30, 1968, in a double wedding ceremony with Wayne and Sue Carter.
Frank and Linda built a life together grounded in love, loyalty, and dedication to family. He was a proud father to three children: Natalie (nee Harrison) Hardin and her husband, Jon Hardin, Darrell Harrison and his wife, Amanda Harrison, and Laura (nee Harrison) Greer and her husband, David Greer.
He was the beloved grandfather of Makenzie Harrison; Evan and Kaylin Ariana; Harper and Henry Hardin; and Charlotte, Everett, and Bennett Greer; and great‑grandfather of Scarlett Ariana. He is lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who enriched his life.
Frank had a special bond with his loyal Boston Terrier, Lucy, and was often accompanied by his cat, Charlie Brown —frequently perched on his back—bringing him constant joy and companionship.
Frank loved God wholeheartedly and lived his life as a quiet, steady witness to that love. He spent many years attending Tower Grove Baptist Church. He especially enjoyed volunteering and treasured his time helping Scott Davidson and serving the church.
Throughout his life, Frank embraced activities that brought him happiness and adventure, including camping and canoeing, geocaching, collecting bobbleheads, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
Frank honorably served his country in the United States Army, entering service in September 1966. He was deployed to Vietnam in March 1967 and faithfully completed his duty, being discharged on September 19, 1968, with the rank of E‑5, Specialist 5.
Frank will be remembered for his generous spirit, his sense of adventure, his unwavering faith, and the steady love he offered to all who knew him.
Even in his passing, his message endures: ‘I am still on duty in God’s army.’
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
