Frederick Clifford Goodyear

He was born on March 7, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Walter Goodyear and Rose Kvaternik. Frederick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend whose kindness, steady presence, and love for his family will be deeply missed.

In October of 1960, Fred married Betty June Goodyear (nee Schmidt). Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. Betty preceded him in death in 2025, after more than six decades of marriage.

Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty June Goodyear; his parents, Walter Goodyear and Rose Kvaternik; and his brother, Walter Goodyear.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Susan Goodyear, Sharon (John) Rapisardo, and Diane (Greg) Metzler. He was the cherished grandfather of Steve (Sophie), Kevin (Lindy), Cheryl (John), Tom (Sarah), Patrick, Tim (Jami), Sarah (Joe), Katie, and Matt (Taylor). He was also the proud great-grandfather of Luke, Ben, Andrea, Kerry, Oliver, Jackson, Adalyn, and Vincenzo.

Visitation will be held at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street, St. Louis, MO 63109, US, on June 30, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on June 30, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Committal will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 MacKenzie Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123, US, on June 30, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
