George was the loving father of Joann Marie Carroll, devoted grandfather of Bryan Carroll, dear brother of Georgeanna McCord, Beverly "Sue" (the late Ted) Dolas, the late Jerry (the late Pat) Carroll, and the late Linda (the late Jim) Tasch; dear uncle, cousin and a good friend to many in his lifetime.
George was a lifelong resident of Saint Louis. He was employed for many years with the Saint Louis County Public Works, retiring in February of 2020. George was an expert pool player and won many trophies and awards with his skills. One of his favorite things to do was watch wrestling on Friday nights with his grandson, Bryan. George was a real jokester, generous, helpful and kind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 28 from 4-8pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29 at 11am at the Chapel at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary.
