

Craig, Hazel Mary (nee Robertson) (1931 - 2017) 85, Hazel Mary Craig passed away peacefully on January 6, 2017. Hazel was born March 11, 1931 in Aberdeen, Scotland to Agnes and George Robertson. Hazel is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Alan Craig, and two daughters, Marion Craig and Janet Craig Durham, her grandson, David Danaher, Jr., her four sisters, Agnes, Kathleen, Helen and Isobel, and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. After completing her education, she worked for the Aberdeen Education Department and then for the BBC in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, Scotland. She was accomplished in shorthand and typing, which led to her teaching evening classes. She was also a talented seamstress. She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1963, and settled in Webster Groves. She was a member of the Webster Groves Presbyterian Church. She delivered meals on wheels for many years and was a Girl Scout leader. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved to entertain and was well known for her shortbread. She loved gardening and was a lifetime member of the Webster Groves Garden Club. She was also a member of the St. Andrews Society and helped to organize the first Scottish Highland Games held in Webster Groves. She also loved to dance and participated in Scottish Country dancing and aerobics. She lived a full life that enriched the lives of many others.
SERVICE: After a private burial, there will a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 25, 2017, 10:30 am at Webster Groves Presbyterian Church, 45 W. Lockwood Avenue, Webster Groves, MO 63119. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Webster Groves Presbyterian Church.
