I am sorry for your loss and can truly empathize. I would have liked to attend the funeral, but with my Dad's death I missed getting the arrangements.  Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I can imagine your loss and am grieved for what you may be feeling. I do hope that like me, your memories of your father are precious and a comfort.

Deepest sympathies to the whole family.  Mr. Galanis was kind to me and I know that although he suffered he will be missed.

Uncle Jack, You were like a mentor to me, taking me on my first hunting trip with Pete and Cinders - remember when Cinders ran away?  Then my first goos hunt, cancelled because of a state wide quota so we went dunck hunting instead and a goose landed in our duck decoys!  You taught me to always stop and read the historical markers, a practice I still emply today.  I promise I will never again eat a Cheezit or drink a Manhattan without thinking of you.  Say hi to Mom, Uncle Bill, Aunt Jeane, Ray and Jason.  P Also say hi to Cinders, Felice, Mickey, And Danny Boy.

My Uncle Jack Galanis loved his family, faith, and fun. There are so many fond memories it's hard to pinpoint any in particular. But I will never forget how he would bring me a vase of the most beautiful cut roses from his garden....along with a few good laughs, after I had an operation or a baby!  We will all miss him very much.  I am sure he is having a laugh or two with Duck now. Roseann

Jack was a good friend and work associate, he arranged deliveries of coal to Sioux Plant where I was Plant Manger. We had many lunches at The Edge and annual fishing trips to Kentucky.Jack enjoy fishing in "The Sky" with Barney.Love ya like a brother.Fran Rieber

Dear Galanis Family,
Jack was a wonderful neighbor to us when we lived in St. Louis Hills.  He was always so good to the hearing impaired boys we were raising, especially Dirk.
