Jacqueline T. "Jackie" Armbruster

Daughter of the late John and Lillian Hrdlicka. Beloved wife of the late John C. (Jack) Armbruster; Dear mother of John (Sheila), Daniel, Stephen (Angela), Mary Lamb, Robert (Vicki) and William Armbruster; 22 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Services (Mass) will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 9th at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9 am prior to Mass. Interment will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery on Gravois. If desired, donations may be made in her name to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1919 South 7th Street, St. Louis, MO.

Mrs. Armbruster worked at Mercantile Bank in St. Louis as a clerk, where she met her husband, Jack and later married on August 17, 1950. She also worked for the Aeronautical Chart Plant as a cartographer. After raising her children, she worked at the St. Louis Housing Authority, St L Public School Purchasing Dept as an administrative assistant to the principal of Elias Michael School, which served severely handicapped children of the City of St. Louis. She also, authored an autobiography, a family history, and a book of poetry called “Creative Writings”. She will be sorely missed as the wise matriarch of the Armbruster-Hrdlicka families.
