Hello, I think  I have the right Jim Spies. I was going through my emails from my Dad. Henry Meyer. He passed away almost 2 years ago. Anyway, I had asked him in one of the old emails, how he met my mom. And my Dad said that Jim Spies wanted Dad to meet another girl, Peggy, but saw Mom instead at a dance. Mom went to Xavier, and Dad went to SLU/H. So I have your Dad to thank for making my parents meet. (I read somewhere in one of the comments that Xavier and Slu and dances were mentioned so I figure I have the right person)  I wanted to google and see if he was alive. but I am sorry for your loss.  Thanks.

To the Spies family, we were so sad to read of Jim's passing this morning.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.  My mom, Rosemary Wiltsch, has enjoyed getting to know Jim again the past few years when Jim, Shelley and Father Bob would come for visits.

Dear Marty & family- I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing.  He was a close friend during all four years of high school at St. Louis University High.  We used to ride the Kingshighway bus together every morning.  He was a rare 5 year man at school and I always admired his goal to graduate from SLUH and his success at doing so.  We were in the lowest group of A track students-G group and both from the northside of the St. Louis area so there was a lot of camaradie among the northsiders.  I have fond memories of knowing Jim.  Again, my condolences.
