Devoted wife of the late John P. "Jack" Hughes. Loving mother of John J. (Janice) Hughes.
Grandmother of Ryan, Aaron (Donna), Chrissy Fleming (Jason), Christopher Saldaña, Rachel Siatowski (Kevin). Great-grandmother of Maxwell, Olivia, Christian, and Ava. Dear sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
LaVerne was active in so many areas of life that we called her our Energizer Bunny. She was an avid bowler, seamstress, milliner, floral arranger, tireless volunteer at St. Joan of Arc's annual flea market, and caretaker to many sick and elderly friends and neighbors throughout the years. Her grandchildren remain convinced that she never learned how to sit down until she was in her 90s.
The family will receive friends at noon on Sat, Aug 22 at SJA with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 1:00. Private burial at Calvary Cemetery.
