Linda was the loving wife of Edwin Soteropoulos; cherished mother of Michael (Melanee) Soteropoulos and Diana (Joe Ledvina) Soteropoulos; and devoted grandmother of Lillyanna and Michael, Jr.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Verna Piskulich and her sister Betty (the late Paul) Wetzel.
Linda was born in Saint Louis in 1948. When she was seven years old, her mom passed away from cancer. Her dad was working at Emerson Electric doing night shifts, so she moved in with her uncle Jake and his wife Ollie. They didn’t have any kids, and they lived out in South County in Affton very near Ronnie’s Drive-Inn. One of the conditions for moving in was to be raised Roman Catholic. Linda was baptized and received her First Communion soon after.
She attended Seven Holy Founders grade school and Notre Dame High School. After graduating in 1966, Linda attended Meramec Community College and received her associates in 1968.
Linda met Ed in 1967, on a blind date to one of her sorority's parties. They were formally engaged in March of 1968, and married on November 30, 1968. Ed’s career had them living in many different places during their marriage but eventually it all led back home to St. Louis in 2019.
Linda and Ed loved travelling, especially cruises, and she was an avid quilter. But most of all, she loved her many sweet cats she and Ed adopted over the years.
Linda was a lovely, gregarious person, who lived life with enthusiasm, joy, and gratitude.
Linda is no longer in pain and discomfort but now resides in our eternal heavenly home. Diana, Michael, and Ed wish to thank all of those who have prayed for Linda during her long illness. Ed will cherish each and every moment of his life with her. Linda’s primary purpose in her life was to ensure everyone around her, especially her family, were happy and her family is happy to say she succeeded.
