Linda Lea Viviano-Stone

Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a warm and welcoming personality and truly had never met a stranger. Linda was a people person who could talk to anyone about anything, and she loved meeting new people and making connections wherever life took her.

Linda had many passions throughout her life. She was a lover of animals and enjoyed cooking, especially Italian food. She was also known for her incredible specialty birthday cakes. For each of her children and grandchildren, Linda would create a cake specifically designed around whatever they were interested in that year. These were not ordinary birthday cakes—they were thoughtfully planned, highly specific, and made with love.

Family was at the heart of Linda’s life. She loved spending time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed bringing everyone together for gatherings. She treasured the memories made around a table, sharing good food, conversation, laughter, and time together.

Linda was known for being very punctual and took pride in being on time. She loved classic rock and pop music and was an avid reader who could go through stacks of books in no time. She also enjoyed traveling and meeting new people along the way. Europe was one of her favorite places to visit, and she had a particular love for warm destinations. Having lived in Palm Springs years ago, Linda always enjoyed traveling somewhere where she could soak up the sunshine and warmth.

Linda will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, outgoing personality, love of family, passion for cooking and reading, and the countless memories she created for those around her will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Billy F. Latzel and Ava Lea Creason; her former husbands, James Stone and John Viviano; and her brother, Dennis Latzel.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Schilly (Pat) and Tony Viviano (Gina); her brother, James Latzel; her ten grandchildren, Aaron, Emilie, Michael, Meghan, Amanda, Nick, Samantha, Ava, Sal, and Olivia; ten great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Linda’s greatest legacy is the love she shared with her family and the many lives she touched along the way. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of gathering people together, her wonderful sense of conversation, and the special way she made each person feel welcomed and loved.

May Linda’s memory live on in every family gathering, every homemade meal, every carefully decorated birthday cake, and every story shared about a life so wonderfully lived.

Visitation will be held at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street, St. Louis, MO 63109, US, on September 4, 2026, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 MacKenzie Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123, US, on September 4, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
