Loretta Sheerin

Loretta was the beloved wife of James J. Sheerin; devoted mother of Michael (Amy) Marchesi, Sheila McCrary, Patricia (Matthew) Cash, and Joseph (Nadja) Dawidouski; cherished Nana of Jessica (David) Griffin, Megan Marchesi, Kaitlyn McCrary, Sean McCrary, Connor Marchesi, Chloe (Mikah Shepherd) Marchesi, Aidan Cash, Liam Cash, Neila Dawidouski, Bella Marchesi. Jaida Dawidouski, and Nina Dawidouski; loving great-Nana of Margaret Griffin, Charles Griffin, and James Griffin; dear sister of Thomas McLaughin; dear sister-in-law of Rob (Diane) Brockman and Ron (DeeDee) Brockman; dear aunt, cousin, and a friend to many in her lifetime.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Helen McLaughlin.

Loretta was born in St. Louis and attended St. Pius X Catholic School and Bishop DuBourg HIgh School. For many years, she was a stay-at-home mom, then became an executive secretary at St. Louis University Hospital. After retirement, Loretta enjoyed watching her grandkids, travel with her kids, reading, going to the movies, and trivia. She enjoyed baking and cooking and cherished her family gatherings. She loved hosting parties! Loretta was especially proud to be a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. She never failed to celebrate being Irish.

Loretta was smart, competitive, sweet and loving, and funny. She was so much fun to be around. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 2 at 10am at the Church of the Little Flower, 1264 Arch Terrace 63117. Interment immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery.
