

Manuel was the beloved husband of Teresita Cometa; loving father of Hope (partner Kristian McCurdy) Cometa-Vitale, Mary Joyce Cometa, John (Danielle) Cometa, and the late angel Cometa; devoted grandfather of Frederick Victor Cometa Vitale III, Ciara Agustin Cometa Vitale, Aidan John Kopf Cometa, Evan Ryan Kopf Cometa, dear step-grandfather of Miles Ward and Anna Ward; dear former father-in-law of Frederick Victor Vitale, Jr.. a dear uncle, great-uncle, great grand uncle, and a friend to many in his lifetime.
Predeceased by his parents The Honorable Artemio and Eufrosina Cometa. His Brothers Arturo Cometa, Dr. Caesar Cometa and sisters Aida S.Cometa, Liling Cometa and Amaring Haar.
Manuel attended Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Philippines and The University of the Philippines. He received his degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
He moved to Brooklyn, New York with his family to find greener pasture. He worked in many companies including working in both Twin Towers as a designer.
After many years later he moved his family to Saint Louis Missouri where he settled here and made many memories.
His hobbies were the love of gardening, reading his engineering books, and rehabbing his numerous properties that he owned.
He was active in the Filipino community and had a strong Catholic faith.
He was a loving husband to his wife of 61 years and a devoted father to his children and instilled the strong Filipino culture.
He will be truly missed by many.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 27 from 8-9am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1408 S. 10th Street 63104. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Ron Lorilla at 9am. Interment with Rite of Committal immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 Mackenzie Road 63123.
