

Beloved wife of John E. Dunsford; dear mother of Clare Dunsford, Mark Dunsford, Cathy Dunsford Birdnow, Dr. Maggi Dunsford Coplin, Ann Dunsford-Conway, and Gerard Dunsford, who lived but one day; loving grandmother of J.P. Manion, Michael and Meg Coplin, Elizabeth and AnnaGrace Dunsford-Conway, and Catherine Dunsford; affectionate mother-in-law of Timothy Birdnow, William Coplin, and Dr. Charles Conway.
Mari was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and Fontbonne College, where she was President of the Student Council, editor of the newspaper, and an accomplished equestrienne. A lifelong leader, Mari co-chaired a massive Pro-Life March in downtown St. Louis in the late 1970s. She volunteered for many years at Birthright, a charity dedicated to offering alternatives to abortion. Sharp-witted and precise, poised and charming, Mari could have excelled in many careers, but she dedicated herself first and foremost to her husband and family. She was a faithful member of St. Gabriel’s parish for 44 years.
Services: Visitation Saturday, October 6, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, followed by funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Donations may be made to Birthright Counseling of St. Louis.
