Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thursday, December 26, 2024; beloved daughter of the late Martin and Nora (nee Quinn) Moran; dearest sister of the late Mary Therese Lawlor (the late Timothy), the late Catherine Moran, and the late Joseph Moran; cherished aunt of Timothy G. Lawlor, Kevin M. Lawlor, and Mary Ellen Baker (Douglas); loving great-aunt of Michael (Michaela), Meghan, Caitlin, Nora, and Maggie; our dear cousin, godmother, and friend. Eileen’s devout Catholic faith and her love for her family were inspirational to everyone who knew her. She was a second mother to her nephews and niece and she devoted her life to caring for her sister, Catherine, who had special needs. Eileen was the definition of a true servant of God and lived a selfless life of faith and love for others.
Eileen was a proud graduate of St. Mark High School, St. Louis, Missouri. She had a successful career of over 35 years at Shell Oil Co., and a second 17-year career in the Registrar’s Office at Saint Louis University, a position that she loved dearly. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for over 65 years.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Mari de Villa, to the wonderful caregivers at BJC Hospice and the vigilant members of the 3 West Team at Missouri Baptist Hospital and especially, to Eileen’s family and friends for their loving support over the past three years.
Eileen touched many lives over the years, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorials may be made to Glenmary Missioners/www.glenmary.org.
