Marty was the cherished husband of Judith "Judy" (nee Muller) Hughes; dear and loving brother of Kathy (Paul) Higgins, Michael (Glenna) Hughes, Dan Hughes, Joanie McCarthy, and Ginger (John) Eichhorn; devoted uncle, great-uncle, godfather, cousin, and a loyal friend to many in his lifetime. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin L. Hughes, Sr., and Virginia Nurre Hughes.
Marty was proud to retire as a union bottler from Anheuser Busch. He and Judy enjoyed travel, listening to Big Band and Jazz music, and Cardinals baseball.
Marty was caring, kind and generous. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his siblings, and all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 23 from 4-8pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 24 at 10am am at Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church, 6741 S. Rock Hill Road, 63123. Interment immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery.
