Mary Teresa Chick

She was the beloved third of seven children born to Richard and Teresa Sondermann (née Sweeney). Mary was a dearest daughter, loving sister, cherished sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and a friend to many.

Preceded in death by parents Richard L. and Teresa A. Sondermann (nee Sweeney) and siblings James C. (Colleen) and Thomas J Sondermann. Survived by Richard Jr (Barb), Jane (John) Reader, Patricia (Glen) Deutsch, Steven (Stacey Thompson).

Mary was a precious and gentle soul who loved writing poetry, music, and singing along to her favorite Beatles and Billy Joel songs. She found joy in birds, flowers, and the big, beautiful trees of Forest Park.

Special thanks to the residents and caregivers at Oak Park Care Center and St. Elizabeth’s Hall for their many years of compassion, love, and care.

Mary will be laid to rest in a private service at Resurrection Cemetery.
