I miss you every day, Pop! I think of you all the time, and although it gets easier, I miss you nonetheless. I know you're in a good place with Nancy. I love Dad.

I met Peter at Forest Park while volunteering at the Jewel Box in Forest Park , during the early 2000’s
He was always fun to talk to and had great stories about his years in social work. My husband and I  would see him at the bar when we went to plays at the Gaslight  Theatre. I think he was a regular, everyone knew him. 
RIP Peter.

I miss visiting you in St. Louis and you always asking when I will give you a million dollars once I become successful.

I worked for your father as his head clerical at Probation and Parole 7 South for many years.  When he came to the State office from the county office, his head clerical Gayle Collins shared insight into working with him .  She said he could be a challenge, but would always be our greatest support and ally.  This was an understatement ( on both counts!) Through the years your father bestowed upon me encouragement, trust, and respect.  He was my greatest friend and mentor, encouraging/guiding me to professionally achieve more than I dreamed possible.  Above all, my favorite memories of your father  was his intense pride and love for his children.  There was no shame as he would soften and get a bit teary eyed sharing the accomplishments and hurdles overcome by each.  

I have yet to find another who appreciates home made chocolate chip cookies as he did.  He will remain a favorite memory.  

Pete was a great gardener volunteer with the Flora Conservancy of Forest Park.  We are thankful to have worked with him

My mom, Bobbye, was a housemate of Pete’s at Dolan. I enjoyed talking to your dad about social work and just joking around. I always shared cookies with him!  So sorry for your loss.

Pete enjoyed life to the fullest.  He loved his family and friends, music, living in the city,  Forest Park, long walks, adventures, his little sports car and hanging out.  When my husband and I were married,  Pete became a part of our life and we became part of a larger group of friends - enhancing all of our lives.  Rest In Peace, Pete.

Dad enjoyed going out to eat whenever he visited. He also loved taking us out when we came to STL. 

Dad was an amazing father. His unconditional love for his children will always be remembered. His memory and legacy will live on. Miss you Pop! 

We enjoyed many great times with Pete.  Very sorry to learn of his passing.  Craig & Diann Smith

Pete was my 1st Supervisor at the Juvenile Court in 1971. He taught me so much. On Saturday mornings  several of the unit would meet at his house and go to practice shooting our handguns. I saw Pete throughout the years from time to time after he left the court. 
I am sorry for your loss. He was a great teacher and he  always had our back. There a people who come in our lifetimes that make a difference- Pete was one of those for me.

Pete was a great neighbor for 19 years; and Sheila and Peter the Younger were neighbors for awhile, too.  We had many good times together and Pete was good about sharing his tickets to listen to folk music at the Sheldon....many good memories.
