

Richard Wingron passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at the age of 91. Richard lived a long life marked by devotion to his family, pride in his country, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of everyday living.
He married the love of his life, Jean, on September 27, 1980, and together they shared many years filled with companionship, laughter, and love.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Dorothy Zahner; his brother, Edward Wingron; and his nephew, Don Zahner.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Wingron; his stepchildren, Debbie Jackson, Dorene Black, and Lauri Emerson; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of friends who will miss him dearly.
A proud United States Army Veteran, Richard carried his sense of duty and patriotism throughout his life. In his free time, he found joy in duck hunting and fishing, walking up and down the alley in search of new projects to tinker with, and most of all, spending meaningful time with his family and friends.
Richard will be remembered for his steady presence, his hardworking nature, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
A Visitation will be held at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, located at 6464 Chippewa Street, St. Louis, MO, 63109, on January 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The Funeral Service will follow at the same location starting at 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO, 63125, on January 2, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
