We are so sad and still in disbelief on hearing about the sudden loss of Larry.  Words will never be enough to help you understand why he is not with you on this earth any longer.      Meghann and I are deeply sorry for your loss.  Mr. Hughes was a great person.  I recall that he was my soccer coach in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. Bob was the epitome of a decent and good family man. He was a true Christian who cared about others. My prayers are with his family.

Bob/Duck, you were one of my best friends. (Many people can say that because that's the way you were.) It's been a week since your passing and I still cannot believe you are gone.  You were the funniest and will forever be the funniest person I have ever...ever met.  You could do things that would put the regular guy like me in jail.  Our CC group wonders what we will do when we get together next.  Who will jump start the party? Who will tell the jokes. Will it be George? NO! Jim...NO! Greg??? NO  Me? NO!! It will still be you because we will start talking about all the crazy funny things you did to get us all laughing and we will go from there.  We were the lucky ones who saw you perform for 40+ years.  We were an easy crowd, I agree, because we laughed at everything you did. We were spoiled and didn't know it.  Duck...we will miss you greatly and will hopefully learn to be more like you.  Love 'ya brother...YITBOS!

Bob made sure to always be in our sight as well; I now understand why he requested a movie camera for his 30th Anniversary with Siemens. It was a pleasure to see all the videos and pictures. I had only worked with Bob for 2 years … I knew he was funny but I never knew he could dance … I give him a perfect score of “10” for those moves! Bob is truly missed in the office! My heart goes out to all Bob’s family and friends. He will be "Always in our hearts" "Forever in our memories"

Disbelief---this just can't have happened. We find it very difficult to think we won't see Bob again saying or doing something to make us laugh. He was truly one of a kind.

I had the privilege of playing golf with Bob “Duck” the last few years at an Annbriar tournament.  It didn’t take long to realize that he was truly a great guy.  He will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Roseann and family, we are keeping you in our prayers during this time of sorrow just as Bob and you did for our family not all that long ago. Bob's upbeat personality and sense of humor kept our family uplifted. We will never forget him.

Roseann, Rosemary,Ryan and family,  I have such great memories of Bob and the soccer games at Benedictine, the Father/daughter Mother/son weekends. It was always fun with Bob around.  He will be so sadly missed.

Bob Hughes . .. it is difficult to pigeon hole Bob.  In fact I don’t believe it can be done.  He was humor – the “Life of the Party” or was it “Partying is Life?”  To try and explain “Hughes” would be a conundrum.                           As so many have stated he was kind, funny, albeit crazy; he was a friend, not merely a co-worker.  I will especially miss his laugh, his eternal search for the next “Good Time”, his ability to tell a funny story, especially on himself.  Bob treasured his family and his office was filled with photos of his kids – their achievements and tons of friends.  My prayers to his family.

The Hughes family will remain in our thoughts and prayers. There aren't enough words to say how much we will miss Duck, so I will just say that I hope there is softball and golf in heaven and that everyday he goes four for four and shoots under par.  Thanks for the memories.

I have so many fond memories of Bob- singing "I Feel Good" under the Arch for the Fourth of July over 15 years ago, watching all his "movies" over the years and having him show up for my 21st birthday party at Talanya's just to sing me a song. What I remember most is the fondness in the tone of my parents' voices when they speak of him, tell stories about him and appreciate his life. To the man who brought joy to everyone around him and life to the party: You will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolences go out to the Hughes family. Bob was a coworker and a very friendly person. I met Bob several times when I traveled to St. Louis on business and continued to communicate with him on work issues. He always made me laugh and was full of life.  He will be missed by many and his spirit will always be with us.

Bob was a dear friend and co-worker that will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  He will always be remembered as a great people person who others enjoyed his company and his wit. It always seem the great ones leave us early.  But I think this is really a result of the showbiz axiom, "Always Leave 'em wanting more."  Duck did just that. His joy for life and family was obvious to all and his connection with our children was truly a bright light. This is so true of Bob. I knew Bob at work and we are missing a ray of sunshine here in the office without him; always smiling, always taking time to stop and chat - he was so wonderfully unique. He always made a point to ask how my daughter was, by name which was always so nice. I'm heartbroken for your family. I'm happy to know that it seems there is no shortage of joyful memories of the type of person Bob was. I'll share with you this prayer: "Thank you Father for the gift of memory that allows me to hold close the ones I love even after they are with You. Amen."

My last memory of Bob was last september when he came over outside on the parking lot of my moms funeral service and shook my hand...my lasting memory is how the only time Bob could be serious is when he was watching Mo play soccer...He will/and always will be a great guy in my memory of him.

I could not believe the sad news when I heard it. Bob was so full of life and it is hard to believe that he has left this world for a better one. You have my deepest sympathies.

I cried for a long time, but those tears slowly turned into laughs as my mind ventured from what is, to what was.  Bob was ALWAYS a barrel of laughs.  It's hard not think of him without remembering a joke, a phrase, or an action of his that made you cringe, laugh, and smile all at the same time! My deepest sympathies to your family.  I live in Dallas TX and only met Bob once or twice when I visited the St. Louis office but I have worked with him for 5 years.  Bob was always so pleasant and from the beginning was very helpful and nice to me.  He will truly be missed.

Larry, Tina and me knew him by, OH also Duck, was one of the nicest and funniest guys I have ever known. It's impossible to put into words how much you will be missed and how sad we are over Larry's passing. There's no doubt that he's in Heaven making the Angels laugh as he always did at our TTT golf tournaments and elsewhere. Larry you will missed terribly and it really won't be long and we'll join you there eternal in Heaven where there is no pain and suffering to play a few rounds of golf and enjoy your wonderful sense of humor again. Bob always made me laugh from the first moment I met him.  His daughter Rose married my son Ryan and I had the distinct privilege to meet Bob through the marriage.  I gave him an autographed book of Glenn Beck for Christmas a few years back and he called me expressing his gracious gratitude.  I will never forget that, and will always remember him with a smile.  Goodbye Bob and rest in peace my friend.

We would like to express our deepest heartfelt condolences for the family's loss of such a wonderful spirit.

What an honor for me to work with Bob for the last two years, eight months.  I sat directly across from Bob and we shared many a laugh.  Bob was such a wonderful man.  He had so much credit experience, when I needed his assistance and would ask him a question he would drop everything to help me.  Bob was that way with everyone.  Bob always put everyone else first no matter how many tasks he had in front of him.  I never heard Bob say anything negative about anyone or anything.  Bob was always positive and upbeat and OH soooo funny!  If I would say something funny he would say “leave the comedy to me”.   I always dreaded when Bob took an entire week of vacation, as work was so boring without his presence and fun spirit.   Bob certainly lived a FULL life, he was always doing something fun on the weekends or his days off.  Bob spoke so highly of his family and his eyes lit up when speaking of his children and upcoming Grandchild.  I will miss Bob greatly and feel cheated in comparison to the rest of my co-workers who knew Bob for many years.
