Raised in Indianapolis, he was ordained into the Catholic priesthood in 1959 at St. Meinrad Monastery. After leaving the priesthood, he was a licensed family psychologist in south Florida until 1987. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary (Sarter) and Francis Konstanzer, sisters, Mary Ann Green, Dorothy Gormley, and Alice Doody, his fourth wife, Mary Jayne Seifert Love, and son, Alan John Konstanzer. He is survived by his daughter, Jan Konstanzer Kuseski, grandson, Truman Allan Kuseski, and step-daughter Chandra Marski.
