Samuel Anderson Williams

Samuel Anderson Williams, affectionately known to many as Sammy, entered the arms of Christ on May 25, 2026. He was born on October 14, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Reverend John Williams and Flora Belle Johnson.

Samuel was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his siblings James Williams, Barry Lee Williams, Beatrice Williams, Alvin Williams, and John Williams Jr.; as well as his nephews John Williams III and Jason Eric Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving siblings, Dolores Brooks (Michael), Alzeana Williams (James), Emily Onwumere, and Flora Smith (Clannie), along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Samuel was a man of intelligence, kindness, and heart. He had a deep love for mathematics and took great joy in solving problems and learning new things. He also enjoyed sports and listening to rock music, passions that brought him happiness throughout his life. Samuel was exceptionally bright and was only one credit away from attending the prestigious United States Naval Academy, an accomplishment he was very proud of.

Above all else, Samuel cared deeply for others. He was known for his loving spirit, compassionate heart, and the genuine concern he showed to everyone around him. He treasured his family and was a devoted and loving brother whose presence will forever be remembered.

Though he is no longer with us in body, Samuel’s love, warmth, and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street, St. Louis, MO 63109, US, on June 4, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary at 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will take place at Lakewood Park Cemetery, 7330 MacKenzie Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123, US, on June 4, 2026, at 12:15 PM

A Repast will follow the Committal Service back at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary.
