

She was born on July 30, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Arthur Wilson and Carrie Mae Kuhn, who preceded her in death, along with her beloved great-nephew, Wyatt Smith.
Susan is survived by her loving family, including her brother, Thomas Wilson (Debra); her niece, Nikki Smith (Perry); and her cherished great-nieces, Ari Smith and Katie Wilson.
Susan dedicated 38 years of her life to shaping young minds as an elementary school teacher, a role she embraced with passion, patience, and care. Beyond her career, she was a woman of many interests and talents. She was an avid doll collector, particularly fond of antique dolls, and had a deep appreciation for art and antiques. Susan found great joy in visiting antique stores, always on the lookout for unique treasures.
A talented seamstress, Susan expressed her creativity through her work, and she also loved to travel, embracing new places and experiences whenever she could. As a local historian, she took pride in preserving and sharing the stories of her community.
Susan will be remembered as a kind and generous soul, a loyal friend, and someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her warmth, compassion, and giving nature touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her legacy of kindness, curiosity, and dedication will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street, St. Louis, MO 63109, US, on April 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by a Memorial Service at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary on April 17, 2026, beginning at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
