Vic was the loving husband of Rosemary (nee' Jaskiewicz) Recupero; the dear brother of Peter (Mary), brother-in-law of Kenneth (Janice), Sr. Ginny Jaskiewicz, and Mell Jaskiewicz; predeceased by his siblings, Ann Boll, M. Louise Recupero, Victoria (the late Martin) Meagher, and Connie Mayhan, his brother-in-law Walt Jaskiewicz, and his sister-in-law Marilyn Jaskiewicz. He was a dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and a friend to many in his lifetime.
Vic worked over 32 years for Union Electric (now Ameren) as a "trouble shooter." in his spare time, he was a collector of postcards, matchbooks, stamps, print advertising, and baseball memorabilia. He created beautiful stained glass windows and woodworking projects, and sold his creations at antique malls. He was a very successful dumpster-diver and could resurrect discarded items to their once-beautiful state. He was extremely artistic and talented, and even did beautiful counted cross-stitch work.
Visitation will be Friday, February 5, from 10-11am at St. Joan of Arc Church 5801 Pernod 63139 . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, where Full Military Honors will be bestowed.
