Virginia “Jeannie” Margaret Lehr died peacefully in her sleep on January 7, 2015. Born on July 6, 1921, Virginia spent many years working in the Civil Service Field. She was the loving Aunt of Marjorie Barton of Ireland who survives her. Jeanie was predeceased by her father, Philip Lehr, her mother Margaret Lehr (nee Stehl), a brother Virgil and a sister JoAnn Lehr Barton. She also leaves her beloved Yorkie, Daisy.
Jeannie had been living at Laclede Groves Senior Services Community where her soft, gentle voice and friendly smile will be missed by many residents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Missouri Botanical Gardens.
Funeral Service Friday, January 9, 10:30 a.m. at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa. Internment will be at Memorial Park.
