

Bill was the dear husband of Sue (nee Ackermann) Molz; loving dad of MaryBeth (the late Michael) Chavez and Michelle (Brian) Awalt; devoted "Paw-paw" of Nina Chavez and David Awalt; dear brother of Carolyn (Gary) Jacobs; dear brother-in-law of Kenn (Cathy) Ackermann and Nancy Ackermann; dear uncle, cousin and friend to his many golf buddies.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Velma Molz.
Bill was born and raised in St. Louis and attended Lafayette High School. After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army and served his tour in Okinawa. Upon his return he went to work for the US Postal Service and earned his degrees in history and psychology at Saint Louis University while working full time.
In his free time, Bill coached boys basketball at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic School. He was an excellent semi-professional photographer and an avid golfer and fisherman. Bill was sarcastic, intelligent, a master fire-builder, a hard worker, and he adored his grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 21 from noon until 3pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 22 at 9am at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church, 6596 Smiley Ave 63139. Interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where Full Military Honors will be bestowed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory to Wounded Warrior Project, the USO, or Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated by his family.
