OBITUARY

Aaron J. Seyon Allen

June 28, 1999June 24, 2018

Aaron Jalil Seyon Allen was born June 28, 1999 to Chauntyll Allen and Gblay Sailee in St Paul, MN. Aaron was born into his immediate family dominated by women and girls, so he was fondly referred to as “The Boy”. He attended St. Paul public schools and graduated from St. Paul Central in 2017. Aaron was a member of Joint Heirs with Christ Faith International Church since he was an infant.

Aaron will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends by his smile, his humor and being an ever present help to those he encountered. In 2013, Aaron became a volunteer at Cycles for Change, later an employee educating his community about safety, building, and maintaining bicycles. His involvement with Cycles for Change afforded him opportunities for growth with leadership and state to state bike trips. He traveled to places like New York, Seattle and Washington D.C. to collaborate with other youth about the lifestyle of biking.

Along with his parents, Aaron is survived by his siblings, Amareya Allen-Dabney and Gustay Sailee; his grandparents, Odell and Nancy Johnson. Also he leaves to mourn his passing is his aunts, Shayla Johnson and Kyana “Bitty” Johnson; along with a multitude of other uncles, aunts and cousins. Aaron leaves a host of family, friends and an entire community that will mourn him but will be enlighten by his spirit which was displayed by his smile.

I still see little boy running around behind the basketball girls and smiling. Always smiling. As he grew up he always looked like that little boy to me always smiling. It is with a heavy heart and disbelief that I will never see that smile. I don't think in life I have ever encountered such a bright an infectious smile from such a wonderful person. I am so sorry for your loss. In times like this, we try to figure out the whys and we go through different stages of grief, but at the end of the road God helps turn that grief into wonderful memories that we cherish forever. When I'm down I want to think of that smile so that I too can smile. My heart and prayers are with you
