Amanda Naudé

At the age of 64, she passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Woodbury, Minnesota, on July 24, 2026.

On February 28, 1980, Amanda was united in marriage to the love of her life, Pierre Naudé, in George, South Africa. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, family, and adventure. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Jean-Pierre and Pauline, who remained the pride and joy of her life.

Family was the heart of Amanda's life. Though her journey took her across the world—from her beloved South Africa, to Dubai where her son and his family made their home, and to northwestern Minnesota where her daughter and family welcomed her with open arms—she treasured every opportunity to be together with those she loved. She was immensely proud of her children and all they had accomplished, but nothing brought her greater joy than being 'Grandma' to her five cherished grandchildren.

Amanda embraced life with a spirit of adventure and an open heart. Despite her fear of heights, she courageously bungee jumped from a bridge in South Africa—a testament to her determination to never let fear stand in the way of living life to its fullest.

She had a generous soul and found great joy in caring for others. Whether baking a special cake, preparing a favorite meal, or making sure no one ever left her home hungry, she expressed her love through hospitality and kindness. She had an uncanny way of remembering each family member's favorite foods and delighted in preparing them with love. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness, where stories were shared, playful banter flowed freely, and countless treasured memories were made.

She loved the ocean, cherished time with family and friends, and found happiness in life's simple pleasures. Her infectious laughter, quick wit, generous heart, and unwavering love for those around her will remain a lasting gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Amanda was preceded in death by her parents, Polla Bester and Marie (Henstock) Bester; and by her parents-in-law, Petrus Naudé and Emmie (Meyer) Naudé.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Pierre Naudé; her son, Jean-Pierre' (Sharne) Naudé, and their children, Jean-Paul, Jean, and Estella; her daughter, Pauline (Matthew) Cummins, and their children, Bradley and Allan; and her sister, Merika (Kobus), son Marikus, daughter Juane’ and her family Michael and Marc.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m.

In accordance with Amanda's wishes, her ashes will be returned to Hartenbos, South Africa, where they will be scattered alongside the ashes of her beloved parents during a private family remembrance at a later date.
