I don't know where to begin. To acknowledge ten years. Comprehend time that has vanished. Remember every adjustment. The anger I felt. Knowing you were not present. It feels so real now. Real that you're no longer here. Real that I’m not who I was the last time I saw you. Real that I have to accept this truth. I have to accept you're gone. Accept that I still keep living without you. Everything you taught me in youth, I have taken into account. Including the things I didn't know were lessons until I was living it.  There is so much room for momentum. But to begin, I have to accept that you're no longer here to influence with your presence but with the knowledge you left me with.  I rewrote my story since I knew you. My grief transformed me.  I denied my loss at first. I bargained for you to come back. I felt defeated, lost it all with depression. Through the anger I became so selfish. Thinking of Andy tonight more than usual.  Really missing him.  These are terrible times and I could really use a good laugh.  Andy was always good for that and a big hug for "crusty". To everyone thinking about Andy today and to all that love and miss him, I want you to know that his ashes have been placed in a niche in Union Cemetery, Maplewood, MN today, his 45th birthday.  It will be six weeks to install the nameplate but the cemetery managers can help you find him if you visit sooner.  I know it's been a long time but some of you wanted to know where his remains were laid to rest. Linda Braun, Andy's mom.

Every day I think of  Andy and long to see him and talk to him again.  It's just so hard to wait.  Life in this wicked world  isn't  the same without him.  My light was never very bright but what little I had, died with him.  I only have enough for Robert, Kim, and Kylie.  They are the best part of  Andy.  They are who he loved the most. Andy, We grew up together. Just like wonder years tv show. We were buddies, we began sharing our art and poetry together in our rooms, sitting up late, imagining the world before us in our image, using notebooks to tell the world who we would become through words and your hilarious drawings, (which I still have.). Your poems were beyond your years and profound.I can only say that I miss you and bless you.

andy i haven't been around for a while. you know i had things i had to do. i thought of you and tina and your family often. we had alot of good times together and alot of good real talks. i'll never forget you or your smile. you were taken to soon. you will be missed dearly. tina don't give up. your job isn't done yet. you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember all the fun times we all had at the Beebe Apts and my prayers go out to the family. The memories I have will keep you in my thoughts.

Andy, though it's been forever....the thing that jumps to thought first with no forthought;  is the fact that no matter what time of day i'd see ya wether before the schoolbus arrived or after the sun fell you ALWAYS had a smile on your face! I worked with Andy for Olympic Marine nearly 20 years ago on such fine vessels as the MISS KATE,CAPT.ELMER,SOPHIE ROSE.
 Memories of those days long past still remain crisp in my head.Even a 12 to 14 hour day of towbuilding in in a monsoon couldn't keep the smile from Andy's face. That smile and good attitude were always contagious. Any situation was better with Andy around.

andy you will definately be missed. how you always seemed to find the light on even the darkest of days. you had a way of looking at any situation and finding something good . from this and many many other reasons people wanted to be around you. not to mention the wry sense of humor along with the practicle jokes or stories  everyone always left better than when they arrived after being around you. it seemed as though you never lost that wild wonder of the world as seen through a childs eyes. we all forget that too often and could learn alot from you in that regards. we were all blessed from knowing you and wish that we had more time but i know it wont be but a blink of an eye til we meet again. adios my friend . tina  i know that losing him like this is horrible but as long as you have him in your heart youll never be without him. hes with you always.

I am very sadden by your lost. I only remember Andy as a small child as I was a good friend of his uncle Denman. What I remember of him was a light hearted sweet kid. I know he will be missed.

I am sorry for your loss. Andy's family will be in my prayers. It's such a tragedy, no one deserves what Andy had went through on that tragic night. I am so sorry.

I didn't have a chance to know Andy very well, in fact, I only have one very distinct memory of him. Christmas of 2009 he was over at our house and gave me a very beautiful peridot necklace and earring set. I know it was worth quite a bit and he was very generous to give it to me. I will always cherish it and remember him and I will always wish that I had more time to get to know him.

Andy, We were best friends for many years living on Beebe Rd. We did evrything together. Seems like we walked everywhere. We wrote poetry, sang songs, made comics and had many adventures. I have so many photos & writings from you. You will take a peice of my heart with you. I hope to see you again.

andy you will be missed your sense of humor the stories how genuine your character was and how you still could see the world as through the eyes of a kid snd laugh at its obsurdity. especially when you played (or tried to) the cello. always a good one. i know though that this was only a setback temporarily for you soon you'll be kicked back in your favorite chair hands behind your head smiling laughing joking with everyone around. its only a blink of an eye till we see you again. peace brother.

To our dear Andy cousin,

We took for granted you would always be here. In our hearts, we believed our relationship would begin where it left off as soon as you were better. We regret not trying to help you more; if we had known, we would have done things differently. We will always regret not giving you another hug and telling you how much we care about and loved you. 

The best memories from our childhood were with you Andy. You were the highlight of our childhood and holidays, and growing up. We will always be grateful that you were such a good cousin and friend to us. 

We'll always remember those good times as kids when we watched scary movies all night, when we stayed up all night drinking coffee and playing UNO and poker or gin rummy. 

We loved your crazy stories – we were gullible enough to believe every time – about things like the Legend of Falling Rock.

We'll always think of stuffing our mouths full of Bubblicious bubble gum, drooling sugar and laughing, and sticky fingers. You were always up for eating bugs or worms for money or just to gross us girls out.

We had the best times at grandpa's old house on Margaret Street where we played on the tire swing, walked to Haag's Superette to get candy cigarettes and pop, spied on the grown-ups, and play in the scary, crusty old basement or attic. We couldn't get enough of your pranks.

You were so funny. We remember when one time at Fern's house when her ears were plugged with wax and she couldn't hear. You said crazy things to her with a straight face and made us laugh so hard. She got so mad she couldn't understand why we were laughing to tears.

We always wanted to hang out with you because you were the coolest guy that we knew.

We loved your smile, Andy. We loved how you always made us feel special. 

We wish things could be different; and we wish we could go back, but we can't. All we can do is remember all the good times. 

Goodbye for now Andy; see you in heaven with grandpa, grandma, and Amy. We love you; we will miss you so much.

We would like to echo Dave's comment. It has been too long since we last spent time with Andy and we regret the distance that grew between us. We will never forget that amazing smile and that sparkle in his eyes. He was an incredibly inspired person, with big dreams and the passion to live them out.
