Passed away peacefully July 17, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by Husband, John; Brother, Don Hughes. She is survived by Sons, James (Mary), Robert (Kathy); Daughters, Jeanne (Dan) Stadick, Therese (Terry) Hjelmgren, Mary Pat (Bill) Vierling, Natalie (Nathan) Kerkow; Grandchildren, Jessica (Paul), Mike, Steve (Anne), Nathan, Rob (Jamie), Andy (Heather), Dain (Stari), Tim (Jaime), Nicole (Peter), Jonathan, Trisha, Tony, Dana (Phil), Krista, Kai, Sydney, Ben, Landon; 11 Great-Grandchildren and another expected; Brother, Gene (Claudia) Hughes; Sister-In-Law, Shirley; many Nieces and Nephews. Barbara loved her employment at St. Paul Fire & Marine, swimming at the YMCA and her lake home in Nevis, MN. She spent her early childhood years in Proctor, MN and moved to St. Paul at the age of 7. She was a long-time resident of St. Paul's Eastside and member of Presentation Church. Barbara was a true role model to her family and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Tuesday 7/21/15 at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1725 Kennard at Larpenteur, Maplewood. Visitation Monday 5-8PM at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Avenue, St. Paul and 1 hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Calvary Cemetery, St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to JDRF.
