Passed away at St. John's Hospital on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012. She was born the daughter of Joe and Genieve (Seriano) Fruci on Apr 10, 1927 in St. Paul. Carmel was a 1945 Monroe High School graduate. She was a former employee of Rock Island Lumber & retired from Sears in 1987. She served as am election judge for many years and was a 55+ year member of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Carmel will remain in the hearts of her husband, Richard "Dick"; her four sons and their wives: Jim of Guerneville CA, Bill (Sue) of Maplewood MN, Tom (Wendy) of White Bear Lake MN, and John (Kellie) of Maplewood MN; eight grandchildren: Jim, Stephanie (Bill) Mauer, Eric, Chrissy, Joe, Farren (Peter) Swanson, Rebecca, and Carmella; four great-grandchildren: Tyler, Malia, Nick and Jack; sisters, Florence Difronzo and Rose (Fran) Keidel; sister-in-law, Rose Frucci; her extended Sward family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings: Ann Frucci, John Frucci, Joe Fruci & Frank Fruci. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Carmel at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Apilr 12 at Presentation Catholic Church, 1725 Kennard St at Larpenteur, Maplewood. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church AND on Wednesday, April 11, from 4:00 unil 7:00 PM at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave, in St. Paul.
