Corinne Helen Fanslow, age 92 of Oak Park Heights, MN passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 30th. Corinne was born on June 18, 1934 in LaCrosse, WI and grew up near Durand before moving to St. Paul and graduating from Monroe High School. She is preceded in death by her mother Katherine Remme, dear husband James Fanslow and daughter Stephanie. Corinne is survived by children Anne (David) Book, Michael Fanslow (Elizabeth Brantley), Mark (Annie/Meyan Sun-Fanslow) Fanslow, David (Sarah) Fanslow; grandchildren Peter and Katherine Book, Quinn, Rowenna and Liam Kelly, Lucy Fanslow and Fair/Zihui Yun; and beloved sister Linda Brandel. Corinne and Jim met at a Catholic youth group and faith and volunteering were a big part of their lives. Corinne used the talents God gave her to support the Funeral Lunch Committee and the Mother Teresa Sewing Group. Corinne was a gifted baker, and the family could always count on her to prepare delicious breads, desserts and treats for family gatherings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Maplewood on Tuesday, September 8 at 10 am; with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.
