Obituary of David Lee Jensen

David Lee Jensen, age 81 of Mahtomedi, MN passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luella and Victor, and his brother Wayne.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda. His children Amy and Karl (Michele), and grandchildren Parker, Grant, March and Brendan. Sisters Carole, Janice, Donna and their families.

David was raised in North St. Paul with his siblings and graduated from North St. Paul High School Class of 1963. He served in the Navy stateside after high school. He attended Anoka Ramsey College for Nursing where he met Linda. He worked in the healthcare field all of his adult life at Ramsey (Regions), Midway, and St. John’s Hospitals. In his mid-fifties he went back to school, graduating from Metro State University with a Bachelor’s Degree.

He and Linda raised two children, Amy and Karl in Maplewood, MN. They enjoyed family time, which included vacations, and activities. David was proud to see his children graduate from college and start their own families.

David was blessed to be “Papa” to Parker and Grant Jensen, March Towey, and Brendan Lynch. He attended as many of his grandchildren’s activities as possible, school celebrations, concerts, theater productions, and sports events. It amused him when they could outwit him and he celebrated their accomplishments.

To their children and grandchildren, David and Linda modeled a solid relationship, work ethics, education, and faith in Jesus Christ.

He and Linda attended church their whole marriage, Hazel Park Alliance, which became Faith Alliance, and Calvary Church. Through church they maintained many lifelong friendships.

In his retirement, David enjoyed baseball, golf, and spending time at their summer place, Tagalong Condos in Rice Lake Wisconsin.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. John’s Hospital and St. Terese at St. Odilia in Shoreview for their care of David and support for the family in his final days.

Memorial service Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Calvary Church, 2120 Lexington Ave N., Roseville. Visitation 10am, Service 11am.

Private family interment held at a later date.
