Age 96, died on Monday, January 7, 2019. He was born on December 6, 1922 in Theilmand, Minnesota to George and Margaret Thompson.
Don served in the Navy as a pilot from 1943 to 1945.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret, brothers Les and Dave, and sister Marjorie.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marian Hodson Thompson, sister Ruth Thompson Carlisle, three children, Jean Thompson of St. Paul, Minnesota, Carol Thompson of Atlanta, Georgia, Wayne Thompson of Houston, Texas (wife, Brenda Farrell), and three loving grandchildren, Hanna, Mariana, and Matthew of St. Paul, and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service Friday, May 3, 2019 10 AM at Mounds Park Methodist Church 1049 Euclid St, St. Paul.
Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery
