Evelyn was my Mother's best friend (Mary Gmeinder). How well I remember going to the 'Tincup' after working the relief shift with the 2 of them ( I was also an RN from Miller Hospital). There was always a good story from their night's work to share, usually one that had us laughing. After my Mom died, Evelyn continued to include me when she and some of the nurses got together for lunches. Those are precious memories for me! I will never forget the sparkle in her eyes, her warm smile or the sound of her laughter. Heaven has gained what we have lost. She will be missed!! Love you Mrs. Amidon-rest in peace! The name "Amidon" was a household word in our home. Evelyn was my Mom's (Mary Gmeinder's) favorite friend- they were both nurses at Miller Hospital. Evelyn's hearty laugh and warm temperment will never be forgotten. God Bless Her.
Lovingly, Mary Ellen Gmeinder (Weise)
