Gerald was a combat wounded Korean veteran who received a purple heart.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Rhoda, son Brian (Sherri), daughter Rene Brahmstadt (Robert), grandchildren Kelsey Minter (Greg), Ryan Brahmstadt (Ashly), Adam Brahmstadt (Kylie), Nick Norsten, Dan Norsten (Kayt), Matthew Norsten, great grandchild Maisie Norsten and soon to be great grandchild Baby girl E Brahmstadt.
He is preceded in death by his son Paul Norsten.
Visitation is Friday July 3 at 10:00 with funeral mass to follow at 11:00 at Presentation BVM, Maplewood, MN. Burial will be at Fort Snelling at 11:00 on Thursday July 14.
