I loved Gerard like a brother. I first met Gerard riding down the street on a two wheel trike, all the kids were amazed running down the street after him and we've been friends ever since. If you needed to find me I could be found hanging out at Schmitty's house. There were plenty of good times to go around and plenty of good memories to hold onto. Gerard always kept in touch with a phone call or a message, "Schmitty here"....I going to miss those calls my old friend, until we meet again.

I considered Gerard my brother as we spent a lot of time together growing up in Red Lake Falls. Only Gerard could ride a two wheel trike down the street and have all the kids amazed. This was the first time I met him and we we've been friends ever since. I was always down at Schmitty's house, that's where I could be found. Gerard always kept in touch with a phonecall or message "Schmitty Here"....I'm going to miss you my old friend, until we meet again.

I am so sorry to hear the loss of Gerard. He spent many summer out on our Farm with June and I  in Gentily Minnesota when he was 8 and 9 years old. He was a great little cute kid.   Roland Dufault

My Uncle was very special to me. Growing up I didn't spend much time with my dad and he helped fill that void. He would do so many thing with me like playing catch with me, teaching me how to play the guitar and drums, or just hangin out with me makilin me laugh even when I didn't want to. He was always willing to help me fix my car and show me how. He was a genius he could play any instrument, fix anything, and like my Aunt coke said he would make the craziest inventions. He will be greatly missed.

"I Love you" sorry we didn't get to spend the time together we should have, being so far apart and the crazy life we leave this days the time just wasn't right I wish we could have.  Because now it is lost but I will see you again one day I hope that grandpa and grandma Schmidt and Brenda where there to lead you to heaven's gate.  The last time I remember seeing you I was about 5 years old.  I know Teresa my mother missed being in touch with you all these years.  I hope your family well and that I have to chance to meet them on day after all they have a cousin in East Texas and cousin in New Mexic where you sister has live for over 35 years. I am still in shock. Such a kind, funny, helpful man taken too soon. It is comforting that so many of those he loved the most were with him before he went. Kathy, Tracy, Tony & Dusty my heart is heavy for & your kids. He will be missed.

Everytime I seen Gerard, he was always doing something silly or cracking jokes, getting everybody around him to laugh..I think it was important for him to see people smile...I swear I remember one time he told this corniest joke but for some reason I thought it was the funniest joke ever, I couldnt stop laughing. Of course everybody else heard the joke a million times so they didnt laugh but for me it was right on time, I needed that laugh!! Thank you Gerard for being a great and amazing uncle to Jessie and for excepting me just like family!! You will be missed deeply!!

My heart goes out to you all! Death is never easy, but we had time to prepare ourselves, you didn't.  Hold on to the good times, let any bad go! This is going to take you on an emotional roller-coaster!  You have such a wonderful close family and I know they will be there for you. Let people help in any small way they can, makes them feel better and little things you thought where easy become huge tasks for a minute. Gerard was one of the first ex-in-laws I met and so fun! The whole Sullivan Clan is wonderful! Marcy is right, Timothy B. was one to welcome him and showing him the ropes! Rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. May your faith comfort you! Peace be with you all!

We are so sorry for your loss and the loss of a brother.  Gerard was so funny, always made us laugh and angry at the same time.  Always taking his tricycles and bicycles or anything on wheels apart just to see how they worked and he would be all greasy and dirty.  He loved to impersonate Elvis.  Never a dull moment with Gerard.  The angels will have fun with him.  Our prayers are with him and all of you.

Gerard always made me laugh. Whether it was his nine inch nails jokes or his spontaneous inventions he could always put a smile on my face. Such a great man he was.

Gerard always made me laugh. He always came up with the funniest & oddest inventions. Like the fan powered by a drill & so many more. He came up to me once with these huge nails & say's "look...nine inch nails", referring to the band. And then he'd laugh the funniest laugh. You would have to be there to appreciate it. So many good times & laughs.

I'm so sorry for your loss.Hang on to the memories.He left way to early but we have 1 more angel.?
